The Burning Bush 2 is an online project that will publish new and innovative work from contemporary poets and writers in Ireland and the rest of the anglophone world. There will be four issues spread over one year. The first issue of TBB2 will be The Burning Bush Revival Meeting: a sort of reunion for contributors to the old magazine. It will also include work from new and emerging poets based in Ireland. Other than that, there will be an open submissions policy and details are at the submissions link. The criteria are simple – we will publish the best work we can.
The first issue of TBB2 will be edited by Alan Jude Moore.
The editor of The Burning Bush, Michael S. Begnal, will also be helping out.
The Burning Bush 2 is a new online literary project that will publish new and innovative work from Ireland and the rest of the anglophone world. We are currently seeking submissions for issue #1: The Burning Bush Revival Meeting.
Submissions are open to everyone. For issue #1, we are especially interested in seeing new work from contributors to the original Burning Bush magazine. Don’t worry, if you were not published in The Burning Bush we still want you to submit work. We intend to include work from new and emerging writers in each issue; this is an important part of the project.
You can send up to 4 poems and, while we prefer to receive work that has not been previously published, if it has been published before please let us know where and when. We’re not considering fiction or translations at the moment. There are no other restrictions.
Pitches for articles, reviews and criticism are also welcome.
The Burning Bush 2 will be published online and in PDF format and can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will have issue #1 online in December. We hope to publish a further 3 issues over the next year.
